i think i need to spruce up some. Can someone help? Where can i go for cheap as a person of color? Need someone to give me earthy colors. Something i can actually do simple on my own.Make Up! Im a new mom, NEVER wore anything BUT clear mascara (once every blue moon) and i LOVE lip gloss.?
I was the same until 3 years ago! My son was born and very handsome and me looking dull was not cool anymore. I also LOVE LIP GLOSS! Here you go: go to the nearest MAC counter; get a studio fix that matches your skin; 3 or 4 lip glosses(my favorties right now are string bean, osyster girl, beau, instant gold); get a concealer that matches and ask them to show you how to put it under your eyebrow works for a great eyeshadow and you can never put to much. Go to Sally's Beauty Supply for your brushes; you will need a larger brush to apply your studio fix, small angeled brush for your the concealer under your brows and a lip stick brush to mix your glosses. I love masacara by Maybelline(the one with the small comb thingy is what I use now)! Never use water proof you can get it off! Your first trip to Mac will cost you about 40 to 60 bucks, but it will last you for a all time! I have funny skin and I dont break out using their products! The brushes from Sally's 20 bucks if you buy all 3 and mascaras from Walmart about 6 bucks. Your worth it, spend it on yourself! This will give you the natural glam look you are going for! Once your use it, it will take 10 minutes to get it done in the mornings. Once your use to putting on make up go back to Mac and get some BLUSHES, they are wonderful! And eyebrow waxing does wonders for your face too! Good luck and have fun!Make Up! Im a new mom, NEVER wore anything BUT clear mascara (once every blue moon) and i LOVE lip gloss.?
trying using natural colors light browns, tan, beige also pinks would be good. if you need cheap in price go to dollar general. they usually have a limited selection but cheaper prices and the colors will do just fine.
Sally Beauty Supply, Wal-Mart...those places are great...pretty cheap too!!!
great tips on this web-page, make-up is inexpensive but good quality.

you should go to the mac store nearest you and if you don't have one go to the department store and have a complimentary session done. then when you're done take note of the colors they used but you don't have to necessarily buy them right then and there, they might be a bit pricey so then go check out some lower priced alternatives. for example, did you know that lancome's juicy tubes and loreal color juice lipgloss are virtually identical. so save some cash and buy the loreal version. also i really love true match foundation by l'oreal. hit walmart and target, good prices.
and as a new mom, you want to keep the routine simple so i'll tell you what i do when time is cut short. the basics, good cleanser, make sure your skin is nice and clean, then mix your moisturizer with a foundation and apply to the areas you need it. if you don't need it, then you can skip. if you have dark circles, put a bit of concealer on. then sweep on some peachy coloured blush on the apples of your cheeks. if you like you can use some allover bronzer but being a woman of color i don't know that you will want or need it. put on some mascara and some lip gloss and you should be looking fine. for some added zip, put a little bit of gold eyeshadow towards the inner corner of the eye and on the browbone below your eyebrows. this really opens up the eyes and makes you look refreshed.
Good luck.
Wal-mart is cheap and they have a lot to choose from.
Go to covergirl on-line to experiment you can even put your skin tone and eye color. They have this makeup do it yourself on -line thing plus tutorials on how to apply it. Once you've figured out what you want and how to apply go to wal-mart and covergirl is inexpensive.
Mary Kay cosmetics are the best! On their website you can do a virtual makeover!
www.marykay.com/jfed121 Have fun
Pick out a color that goes with your hair and face tone.if you use lip liner ALWAYS! pick out the same color lipstick. Or you'll look like the Lady from the car insurance co. And let me tell you....She does not look pretty! She puts on dark lip liner and then puts on like this whitish looking lipstick! It's just UGLY!
if your a first timer i would recommend going to a department store and having a makeup artist help you out at first. probably clinique would work best for beginer or those who like a lighter touch, they'll help you with technique, ask lots of questions. then buy like one thing like a lipstick or gloss, then you can pick the othe stuff up at target, when you start enjoying putting make up on you can start investing alittle more. good luck!
you should use a pink readish color walmart is the place
